Mud Day: Introduction to Ceramics Workshop

The 4-week program will take place every Thursday from

3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Galata workshop.

You can join on any Thursday during April/May. 

There are 4 classes. 

For 2 friends, the participation fee is 6500 TL per person.

This workshop is a one-day experiential ceramics session aimed at introducing participants to the basic principles of working with clay. In this workshop, where we will explore the texture of clay, forming processes, and three-dimensional thinking, participants will have the opportunity to create their own small ceramic forms.

Throughout the workshop, an introduction to hand-building techniques will be provided, and fundamental methods of working with clay will be applied. Participants can create simple vessels, small sculptural forms, or free-form pieces.

This workshop is suitable for both beginner participants and anyone who wants to get acquainted with ceramics.

• Principles of working with clay
• Hand-building techniques
• Creating basic forms
• Surface textures and details

At the end of the workshop, participants will have experienced the three-dimensional production process with the ceramic pieces they created. And they will complete the course with their fired products.
